WPL 2025: Watch Shabnim Ismail Clean Up Meg Lanning With Absolute Jaffa
The Lanning wicket also started a collapse, as Delhi, after cruising at 60/0, suddenly found themselves at 76/4
Shabnim Ismail of the Mumbai Indians bowled an absolute Jaffa to get rid of Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning during game two of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 at the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) Stadium in Vadodara on February 15 (Saturday).
Ismail, who had tormented Lanning throughout the first three overs of her spell in which Hayley Matthews dropped one catch of the Capitals captain, finally got her woman with a peach of a delivery.
After pitching, the ball, coming in at an angle, straightened just about enough to beat the bat of a driving Lanning, who looked out of touch throughout her stay at the crease.
That wicket also propelled a collapse in Delhi's innings. They were cruising at 60/1 at the end of the powerplay, and after Lanning’s wicket, the collapse that followed took the Capitals to 76/4, depleting their chances of a win.
