Titas Sadhu, who was given a chance in place of Arundhati Reddy in the Delhi Capitals, playing 11 for their match against Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 on February 25 (Tuesday) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, justified it fully when she knocked over the opposition captain Ashleigh Gardner.
The ball by Sadhu was one of the best in the game as it swung in the air and, after pitching, crushed the stumps behind Gardner, finding a gap between her bat and pad.
This was the fifth Gujarat wicket to fall on the day when they were struggling big time, losing the first four for only 20 runs on the board. The first four wickets actually came in a bunch of twos in two consecutive overs to put Gujarat on the back foot.
Gardner, who is the highest run-getter for the Giants, could only get three today.
