Yash Dhull to lead India A in Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023

Eight nations will eye the coveted trophy starting from 13th July in Sri Lanka

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have finally announced their squad for the Men's Emerging Asia Cup starting 13th July, with Yash Dhull set to lead a solid 15-member team. 

Abhishek Sharma will serve as his deputy, and the team also includes Gujarat Titan's star, Sai Sudharsan, in the ranks. Prabhsimran Singh and Dhruv Jurel are the two designated wicket-keepers in the side, and the squad also includes Chennai Super Kings' duo Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Akash Singh to shoulder the pace bowling duties. 

Eight teams will battle it out in a 10-day competition which is set to be played in a fifty-over format in Colombo. 

While India A are placed in Group B with Nepal A, UAE A and Pakistan A, Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A, and Oman A will form Group A. 

The top two sides from each group will progress to the semi-finals, with the first game slated between the top side from Group A and the second spot holder from Group B. 

The second semi-final will be contested between the Group B topper and the second team from Group A on 21st July. 

The summit clash of the tournament is set to take place on Sunday, 23rd July.
