The Canada Super 60, a T10 cricket league backed by Yuvraj Singh, has seen an overwhelming response. More than 1,300 players—men and women—have signed up to participate. The registrations include around 1,135 male and 235 female cricketers representing 34 different nations.
The Men’s list includes the likes of Finn Allen, Sikandar Raza, Naseem Shah, Alex Hales, Shamar Joseph, Jason Roy, Keshav Maharaj, Tim Seifert, Tim Southee, Jimmy Neesham, Azam Khan, Lungi Ngidi, Rilee Rossouw, Chris Lynn, Jason Holder, Andre Fletcher, Kyle Mayers, Tabraiz Shamsi, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Martin Guptill, Dawid Malan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Chad Bowes, and Gudakesh Motie.
On the women’s side, Maddy Green, Fran Jonas, Rosemary Mair, Eden Carson, Tazmin Brits, Amy Smith, Lauren Winfield-Hill, Jess Jonassen, Shabnam Ismail, Laura Harris, Deandra Dottin, Chinelle Henry, Sinalo Jafta, Nonkululeko Mlaba, Fatima Sana, and Lea Tahuhu are set to participate in the tournament.
Scottish cricket icon Kyle Coetzer, who also serves as the tournament’s assistant director, expressed his excitement over the star-studded sign-ups. “It’s incredibly exciting to witness some of cricket’s biggest global stars joining the Canada Super 60,” he said. “Their participation will undoubtedly raise the competition’s standards and offer valuable experience to Canadian players, all while energising fans both locally and internationally.”
The inaugural edition - featuring both men's and women's matches - is scheduled to begin in July.
