Zimbabwe To Play Tests Against South Africa & New Zealand In Blockbuster Summer
On top of that, Zimbabwe will host South Africa and New Zealand for a T20I tri-series
Months after hosting a Boxing Day Test for the first time in 28 years, there’s more power-packed action coming Zimbabwe’s way as a blockbuster summer will see them host Test series against South Africa and New Zealand, and play a T20I tri-series against the same opponents.
The high-octane summer will start with a two-Test series against South Africa, with both Tests being played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The Test series will be played from June 28 to 10 July, after which the T20I tri-series will commence.
A total of 7 T20Is - including the final - will be played in the tri-series, which will be played entirely at the Harare Sports Club.
Then, four days post the conclusion of the tri-series, Zimbabwe will host New Zealand for two Tests from July 30 to August 11. Like the South Africa Tests, these two games will also be played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
The last time Zimbabwe hosted New Zealand for a Test series was back in 2016. Against South Africa, meanwhile, they last played a home Test back in 2014. South Africa won the one-off Test by 9 wickets.
