The action in The Hundred continues on 2nd August, Monday where Oval Invincibles Women will take on Welsh Fire Women at 1500 local (1400 GMT). Do join us for the coverage of that match. Till then, tada!
Chris Jordan, the Hero of the Match, is up for a chat - He says this thrill makes the competition more entertaining and he is glad that could really get over the line. Says that it is always better to help the team out. Tells that the players showed really good character. They hung in there till the end. Also says it is all based on the execution and says it’s not easy to defend with an extra man coming inside the circle in the end.
James Vince is up for a chat. He says Mills and Chris Jordan were outstanding. Adds that they were put under a lot of pressure but they did really well in the end. Says that he felt that 145 was good enough to get on this wicket. Also praises the effort of Alex Davies with his bat. Says the pace of Jordan and Mills changed things for them. Adds that it is great to win two games in a row after a slow start.
The spirits of the London Spirit will be lowered! Adam Rossington and Josh Inglis came out all gun-blazing for London Spirit. The former took on the bowlers from ball one. He spared no one and kept dealing only in boundaries. Inglis played a good supporting role while Rossington continued his assault. London Spirit scored 68 runs in just 25 balls. Later, Rossington got out for a well-made 45. Joe Denly and Eoin Morgan followed him too. Josh Inglis and Ravi Bopara then motored the innings. The latter though fell soon but Inglis made sure he stayed at the crease. He brought up his fifty too in the process. After Inglis departed, London Spirit found themselves in a tough spot. 14 were needed from 10 balls but they couldn't get through the victory line as they lost by 4 runs.
Southern Brave were very brave indeed! The bowlers got a nightmare as each and every bowler at the start were sent packing. Boundaries were coming easily for the opposition. It was like a piece of cake for them. George Carton got two wickets back-to-back and that helped to put a little pressure on the batters. Eoin Morgan also got run-out, credit to Chris Jordan's brilliant piece of fielding. He also got rid of Ravi Bopara in his comeback spell. Chris Jordan again scalped a wicket to his name at a crucial time as he removed the well-set Josh Inglis. That created pressure and that wicket put Southern Brave right back into the game. Tymal Mills delivered an excellent spell of 5 balls towards the end and Chris Jordan managed to defend 11 runs in the final over and they have now won their second match on the trot.
What an entertaining contest it was! It cannot get better than this! A last-over drama has seen Southern Brave coming out as the victorious team as they win by 4 runs.

Tymal Mills to Mohammad Nabi ,OUT! CAUGHT! Looks like the spirit of London Spirit is low now. Serves a slower one, on a length, around off. Nabi looks to work it over cover but does not time it well. He hits it straight to Alex Davies who takes the simplest of catches. The drama continues in the last set of 5 deliveries.
