So, that's it from this game! PSL action though continues as the eliminator follows. Do join us for that. Till then, take care and goodbye!
Mohammad Rizwan says he is pleased with the performance, the bowlers kept it simple and it worked for them. States, Shah’s innings gave them the momentum and Tanvir was brilliant with the ball. Adds he hopes they can do well in the final too.
Sohail Tanvir, Man of the Match, he says the slower balls were sticking in the surface. States the first over wicket helped them a lot and the olan against him worked and he credits for the way all the bowlers bowled.
For Islamabad, only Khawaja was amongst the runs, the others failed to cross 30 and when you're chasing a big total, you need others to contribute too. Had he got support, it could have been a different story. Overall, Islamabad were quite under par in this game.
After posting an above par total, the Multan bowlers were excellent. They kept taking wickets at regular intervals which always pushed Islamabad onto the back foot. Khawaja did worry them but once they got his wicket, it was all over. Tanvir was the pick as he got important wickets. Blessing and Tahir were also impressive. Only Dhani was a tad disappointing but one can consider it was probably a one-off for him as he has been excellent throughout.
Multan it is then who are the first team to book their spot in the finals. A clinical performance from them and have to say, that cameo form Shah is the difference. That 29 run over is the actual difference. Things could have well been different had that 29-run over not come. Hindsight though is a good thing but for now, it is time for Multan to celebrate.
