Right then! That is it from this game but the action continues as Melbourne Renegades take on Perth Scorchers on Wednesday, 22nd December at 7:15 pm Local (8:15 am GMT). Do join us for the same. Till then, Adios!
Sean Abbott is the Player of the Match, he says that he is over the moon and it has been a super week for him. He adds that the pitch played similar to the last game and they had to execute their plans well. He mentions that he is grateful to play for Sydney Sixers for such a long time and adds that he would like some more wickets from inside the ring rather than near the boundary.
The pacers of Adelaide Strikers started decently. It was in the middle phase when the spin duo of Rashid Khan and Fawad Ahmed, who took the charge and combined to take 4 wickets. It was Rashid Khan's over after the Power Surge which helped Adelaide Strikers to stay in the game till the deep. Even Garton took the big wicket of Silk in the fag end but all the hard work went in vain as they came on the losing side. 10-15 runs more and things could have been different. Stay tuned for the Presentation.
Sydney Sixers started deliberately as their openers gave a good start but both fell apart while trying to up the ante. Then Moises Henriques and Jordan Silk combined, they did well to take the chase in a comfortable position but things changed in Rashid Khan's over, and all the pressure piled up on Silk. He too failed to take his team over the line and the Sixers needed 6 off the last over. Hayden Kerr was two strokes away to take his team over the line. A hard-fought victory for Sydney Sixers.
A nervy chase for Sydney Sixers but they have done the job with cold nerves and will take the two points as well. The game was drifting till the end but the defending champions soaked the pressure really well. Sydney Sixers also keep the pressure on the Scorchers on top of the table.

George Garton to Jordan Silk ,OUT! TAKEN! Jordan Silk departs and could there be yet another twist in this match? Shortish ball, around off and it is there to hit. Jordan Silk tries to power it over the cover-point fence but doesn't time it well. The ball goes off the top edge and skies towards the cover-point fence.
