He adds that Jason Sangha has been a good find and has a good technique. He adds that Matthew Gilkes is also a good player and hopefully will fire soon. He informs that he wants to play Test cricket and would like to contribute in that format. He adds that he is enjoying his game and says that Test cricket is still a pinnacle. He signs off by saying that he is excited to play the next game.
Stay tuned for presentation...
Sydney Thunder must have been wary of their opponent's batting prowess even though they put on 200 on the board. Their bowlers though came out all guns blazing and Mahmood gave them the perfect start. It was then Nathan McAndrew who got rid of Patterson and Marsh in quick succession to put Thunder on top of proceedings. Mahmood and Sams picked up a wicket each in the Power Surge and that ended any hopes of a comeback from the Scorchers. Green and Mahmood ended with two wickets and McAndrew ended with three. All in all a comprehensive win for Sydney Thunder and they move up to 3rd in the table.
A daunting task was made even more difficult for the Scorchers when Josh Inglis was dismissed in the first over. The huge moment probably came when red-hot Mitchell Marsh was sent back early to the pavilion. Scorchers never really recovered from the early setback and it was just Colin Munro who played a lone hand. He got to his half-century but no one else really gave him any support. Andrew Tye did hit some lusty blows at the death but it just wasn't enough. The run-rate kept on climbing and in the end the Scorchers were humbled tonight.
The streak has ended and finally, Perth Scorchers have been handed their first defeat of the campaign. Sydney Thunder get over the blues of the derby loss and have notched up a huge win tonight.
