That is it from this game! Saint Lucia Kings have won the match by 5 runs and have grabbed 2 important points. But don't go anywhere as there is another match coming up where St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will lock horns against Guyana Amazon Warriors at 2.30 pm local (6:30 pm GMT). Do join us for that. Till then cheers and adios!
Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Saint Lucia Kings, says that Keemo Paul has been bowling well and that is why they gave him the 19th over. Mentions that is what pressure does sometimes. Informs that the nature of the pitch is that you need to bat deep. Tells that in the end, they won and that is what matters.
Kieron Pollard, the skipper of Trinbago Knight Riders, says that they gave 15 runs too many, but still, their bowlers did a great job. Mentions that as a batting unit they need to find a way and find a rhythm. Tells that there are good positives for the team and it is a long way ahead.
Roston Chase is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH, he says that he was nervous in the last overs. Adds that Wahab Riaz bowled really well and got them through. Says that he was looking to give strike to David as he is in good form.
The bowling of Saint Lucia Kings was just good enough to get them over the line. They used spinners heavily in the middle overs and that worked for them. Roston Chase and Jeavor Royal went for only 40 runs collectively and Chase also got a wicket. Rahkeem Cornwall was a bit expensive but overall, their spinners were sensational. The pacers were also quite good, but they were put under the pump by Tim Seifert in the death. He was particularly severe on Keemo Paul in the 19th over. But it was the experience of Wahab Riaz that got them the victory by a fine margin.
Trinbago Knight Riders never got their chase going. Yes, they lost by only 5 runs but they were behind the curve for the majority of the innings. Lendl Simmons and Tion Webster did not have the best of starts at the top. Webster fell early and Simmons was joined by Munro. Both the hard-hitters struggled against the spinners the required run rate was climbing up. Lendl Simmons fell while looking to up the ante and even Kieron Pollard did not work his usual magic. It looked like Trinbago Knight Riders would fall short by a big margin but then arrived Tim Seifert. He sent the ball sailing all over the park and scored 40 runs from just 16 balls. They got 21 runs in the penultimate over and needed 14 from the last over. Munro even got a boundary of the first ball of the last over but after that they failed to do the deed.
What a game! Someone, check my heartbeat! So much drama in this game but we have a winner. Saint Lucia Kings have won this by the smallest of margins. The game could have gone either way in the last over but Saint Lucia Kings came out on top.

Wahab Riaz to Colin Munro ,NOT OUT! So much drama! Shorter ball, outside off. Munro misses the cut. Immediately, the Kiwis go for the bye but by then, Andre Fletcher inflicts a direct hit at his end and Saint Lucia Kings start celebrating! It looks a clear run out and the TV umpire is called in now so see who is out as Tim Seifert had also left the crease. Now, here is the suspense unfolded. The replay shows that after missing the cut, Munro was in the crease! He turned back to see where the ball was and then set off. But when the ball hit the stumps, he was inside the crease and only left it after the ball had already hit the stumps! So, at the end of all this, no one is out and Trinbago Knight Riders have sneaked in a bye. That means, 6 runs are needed of the last ball!
A run out appeal has been taken upstairs. But Colin Munro has left the crease after the stumps are broken!
