Liam Livingstone says that it was a really good start. Mentions that it was great for Marchant de Lange to get 5 wickets. Tells that it is all about backing up and says it is going to be exciting playing with other players. Adds that they have got firepower with the ball as well as the bat.
Marchant de Lange, is the Man of the Match, he says that it is a batters game but today it played out for him. Laughs by saying that he does not want to reveal the bowling plans. Tells that he tried to execute the plans and it turned out well for them.
... Stay tuned for the Presentation...
It was always going to be hard for Bangla Tigers as the pressure of chasing got piling up. Andre Fletcher started the chase with 20 runs off the first over and that made things brighter for them. But after that, things dawned as every batter tried to up the tempo and fell in the process. Things could have been different if one of them would have batted throughout the innings.
Team Abu Dhabi's half the job was done by the batters as they posted a mammoth total of 145. Then it was Marchant de Lange who showed his brilliance with the ball. They did not allow any partnership to build and scalped wickets at regular intervals. In the end, it was a comfortable outing for them, both with the bat as well as the ball.
Team Abu Dhabi begin the tournament on a positive note. A five-fer for Marchant de Lange in T10. That tells you how good he was with the ball and with the variations. Not to forget the partnership between Chris Gayle and Paul Stirling.
