Right then. That's it from the coverage of this game. Bangla Tigers have extended their winning run. The Abu Dhabi T10 League action will continue on Wednesday. The day will kick-off with a clash between Delhi Bulls and Team Abu Dhabi at 6 pm Local (2 pm GMT) and later, The Chennai Braves will face Northern Warriors at 8 pm Local (4 pm GMT). See you there. Till then take care and goodbye!
Faf du Plessis, the skipper of Bangla Tigers, says that it was a good game and the toss was important to win. Adds that they bowled quite well and then credits his openers for the way they batted. Praises Luke Wood for the way he has been bowling so far and says that he has been confident. Mentions that Mohammad Amir is close to being ready to play in this competition.
Johnson Charles wins the Player of the Match for his gun blazing effort with the blade. He says that he was feeling great and with these small totals, he just wanted to get it out of the way. Adds that he told Zazai to take care from the one end and he will handle the other end. Jokes by saying why take singles when it’s raining sixes.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Bangla Tigers needed 91 runs to get their second win. It was very clear from the second ball of the chase itself that they were in a hurry to chase it down. Hazratullah Zazai and Johnson Charles were very severe on the bowlers and the game was almost over at the end of the third over itself. Charles did get out but there was no stopping the Tigers from getting this win. Not much can be said about the bowling of The Chennai Braves as they were hammered all around the park. Mark Deyal did get a wicket but it was too little and too late for them.
WOW! WOW! WOW! That was some brilliant hitting by Bangla Tigers. Sensational batting and they have scored 91 runs in 4.2 overs! Not very often does one witness something like this. This will give a big boost to their NRR and Faf du Plessis will be a very happy man tonight.
