Earlier in the day, Deccan Gladiators bundled out The Chennai Braves for 57 runs and put them on the back foot straightaway! The Gladiators struggled to chase it down but their experienced campaigner in David Wiese hung in their and took them over the line.
The Chennai Braves' bowlers had only 57 runs to defend and they gave it their all but fell short in the end. Their catching was well below average and that cost them big time. Mark Deyal and Angelo Perera kept things tight in the middle and grabbed a couple of wickets each. However, defending 57 runs was always going to be a challenge for The Chennai Braves and as a result they suffered sixth defeat in a row.
Deccan Gladiators needed just 58 runs to win but they lost a lot of wickets in cluster and gave their opposition a slim chance to get back in the game. Tom-Kohler Cadmore looked good at the start but he fell cheaply after acoring 10 off just 3 balls. Tom Banton hung in there but kept losing partners from the other end. Banton also got out in the end and it was David Wiese along with Andre Russell who saw their team through and handed The Chennai Braves another defeat.
Deccan Gladiators finally get over the line. They were in a slight spot of bother in the middle, but David Wiese has kept his nerves and ensured that they chase it down. The Chennai Braves become the first team in Abu Dhabi T10 league to lose six games in a row and that quite sums up their story.
