Jackson Bird to Nic Maddinson, SIX! Wow, that's one way to get off the mark! Nice and full on the stumps and angling across, Nic Maddinson goes right across the stumps and laps the ball to the right of the keeper's head and all the way for a maximum.

Jackson Bird to Nic Maddinson, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Jackson Bird has the last laugh here and skipper Nic Maddinson is back in the hut early. Immaculate length again from Bird, around middle and shaping back in. Maddinson advances down the track, looking to heave across the line but gets a faint inside edge straight through to the keeper. Josh Philippe gobbles up a simple chance and Sydney Sixers have their first wicket.

Sean Abbott to Jake Fraser-McGurk, SIX! Wow, that is a shot and a half! Pitched up in the slot around off, Jake Fraser-McGurk clears the front leg and just whips it away using his wrists, almost like a helicopter shot and over the fence behind square leg for a maximum.

Sean Abbott to Joe Clarke, OUT! RUN OUT! A wicket out of nowhere for Sydney Sixers but they will take it with both hands. Sean Abbott bowls it a fraction shorter on the hips and Joe Clarke tucks it away down toward fine leg. The batters are quick to run the first but hesitate a bit while going for the second run which really wasn't there. Jackson Bird picks up the ball and fires in a throw toward the keeper, Josh Philippe who whips off the bails. The replays show that Clarke is short of his crease.

Ben Dwarshuis to Jordan Cox, OUT! CAUGHT! Jordan Cox with a nothing shot when his side is already 39/2 and ends up giving his wicket away cheaply here. Ben Dwarshuis bangs this one in a bit and angles it across the right-hander. Cox hangs back in his crease and tries to pull a ball that isn't short enough over deep mid-wicket. One hand comes off the handle and the ball is mistimed to Jordan Silk who takes a simple catch well inside the ropes.

Ben Dwarshuis to Jake Fraser-McGurk, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! That is beautifully bowled to completely deceive Jake Fraser-McGurk. Slower bouncer from around the wicket angle on top of his head. Jake Fraser-McGurk looks to play the upper cut but the lack of pace on the ball allows him to only hit it high off the face of the bat. Josh Philippe behind the stumps does the rest, runs slightly back to his left and takes a diving catch to get rid of the dangerous Jake Fraser-McGurk who has to walk back on 48.

Steve O'Keefe to Jonathan Wells, OUT! LBW! That certainly looks close on the stumps. Jonathan Wells walks across and looks to sweep a ball pitching on the off stump and coming in after pitching. Jonathan Wells misses the ball completely and the ball hits his pads infront of the stumps. There is a huge shout of LBW and the Umpire raises his finger. Jonathan Wells takes the review and there looks to be a flat line on the UltraEdge. The Ball Tracking shows that the ball is pitched in line, impact in line and runs down to hit the top of the stumps and the decision is confirmed. Jonathan Wells walks back to the dressing room.

Sean Abbott to Aaron Finch, OUT! CAUGHT! Once again the Power Surge bears fruit for the bowling side and Aaron Finch is sent packing. Sean Abbott goes pace on now and bowls it on a good length at the stumps. Finch comes forward and looks to loft it straight back over the bowler's head but ends up slicing it high. The ball moves toward mid off but Steven Smith chases it from mid on and calls for it before pouching it safely. Finch departs just when he started to get on a roll.

Rogers moves around in his crease and goes right across the stumps. Ben smartly follows him with a wide yorker. Rogers ends up going for the reverse dab but the ball goes off the pads and into the stumps.
