Opening batter Yash Dhull has made the best of his opportunity in the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 so far as he followed up a century in the first match with an unbeaten fifty in the second game.
Playing for Central Delhi Kings, Dhull slammed an unbeaten 101 against Northern Delhi Strikers on August 3 (Sunday) and then on the following day, he smashed 55* off just 34 balls against New Delhi Tigers.
Dhull, who went unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction, has certainly made his bat do the talking and ensured that the IPL scouts take notice. On August 4 (Monday), his side was chasing a modest target of just 125, but Dhull made it look easier than it was as his knock took the Kings home with seven overs and nine wickets to spare. They have now won both their games in DPL 2025 so far.
Dhull played only four matches for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL, in which he managed just 16 runs in three innings. He was then released ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, but there were no takers for him. This, despite him averaging over 41 and striking at nearly 125 in the T20 format.
The 22-year-old has also led India to the Under-19 World Cup title in 2022.
