With the trades for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 possibly underway, we take a look at three players Delhi Capitals (DC) can target in this window.
How do you make that DC middle-order even stronger? Add Shimron Hetmyer in the mix. The West Indies batter could blend in perfectly in that middle-order that already consists of Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma. He may have had a poor IPL 2025 season, but he has been in terrific form in the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season. Moving away from the Rajasthan Royals (RR) could be a good way to reignite his IPL career as well.
While it's not a long-term plan, Moeen Ali could give DC an off-spin option that they lack, along with some powerful hits. The beauty about the England all-rounder is that he can literally bat anywhere and get the job done. Also, the Kotla might be an excellent place for him to use the long handle a bit more.
Rasikh Salam played just a couple of matches in Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) title-winning campaign, but there is little doubt that the 25-year-old has a lot of potential. A return to DC, where he picked up nine wickets in eight games for them in 024, could further add variety to the team that has as many as three left-handed pacers. The addition of Rasikh could give them a bit of balance.
