Akeal Hosein jumps 10 spots to break into Top 20 of ICC's T20I bowler rankings

Chris Jordan, meanwhile, has slipped out of the Top 15

Akeal Hosein, who finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the five-match T20I series against England which West Indies won 3-2, has jumped an astonishing 10 spots to break into the Top 20 of the bowler’s rankings in T20Is. Hosein took 8 wickets in 5 matches, and he capped his series off with a match-winning four-wicket haul in the series decider, that included the scalps of Jason Roy, James Vince, Liam Livingstone and Phil Salt. The 28-year-old is now ranked 18 in terms of T20I bowlers, and has leapfrogged the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Mustafizur Rahman.

The two other movers in the bowlers’ rankings are Jason Holder and Moeen Ali, both of whom enjoyed a good series with the ball in Barbados. While Holder has jumped three places and finds himself 23rd, Ali has jumped two spots and is now ranked 32nd. Chris Jordan, meanwhile, has slipped 4 places and is now ranked outside the Top 15.

There is no significant movement on the all-rounder’s front, while in terms of batters, David Malan has slipped one spot to go outside the Top 4. Malan’s slip has resulted in KL Rahul occupying 4th place with 729 rating points to his name. Rahul, however, is miles behind third-placed Aiden Markram, who has 796 points and is less than 10 shy of the top-ranked Babar Azam (805).
