Everything’s going right for Anshul Kamboj, who is growing from strength to strength, with a stunning corker of a delivery to dismiss England Lions opener Ben McKinney in the first Unofficial Test, on May 31 (Saturday). The CSK opening bowler did not waste a single minute with the new ball, moving it just enough away from the southpaw to hit the top of the off-stump.
Kamboj left McKinney shocked, as the England Lions’ opener could only turn back, shake his head in shock and walk off the ground. Talking about the delivery, the ball pitched right around the leg-stump line for the left-hander and moved away from his reach, cartwheeling the off-stump.
It was an 80.1 MPH delivery from the Haryana all-rounder, who showed a great deal of discipline across his first three overs, with figures of 1/2. Earlier in the day, the right-handed batter also showed his prowess with the bat, smashing a 37-ball 23, including two fours and a towering six off Rehan Ahmed’s bowling.
