In this category, he is among four batters with an average of 35+ and strike rate of 150+. Pooran has hit 50 sixes in this stage at a balls/six ratio of 8.3. Only Andre Russell has hit sixes in this period more frequently (7.2).

In this phase, Pooran has struck at 158.1 against the spinners, the best among 44 batters who have faced 150+ balls in the nine-over stage between 7-15. 

The southpaw has hit 33 sixes, the joint most alongside Sanju Samson. Against pacers, he has struck at 160.6.

In an IPL season in which a batter has scored 200+ runs in the powerplay, two batters have scored at a 190+ strike rate in a single season, and both were in 2018. 

Sunil Narine in 2018 (KKR) scored 282 runs in the first six overs at a strike rate of 198.6, the highest for a batter. In the same year, Jos Buttler, for RR, hit 235 runs at a strike rate of 194.2. Interestingly, Buttler had zero dismissals in 121 balls that season in this phase. 

Among Indians, Prithvi Shaw, in the 2021 season, batted with a strike rate of 171.4, the best.
