Bangladesh Recall Batter After Three Years Post Humiliating Loss
The 32-year-old Anamul Haque last played Test cricket for Bangladesh in 2022
Following a humiliating loss against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh have been forced to recall the 32-year-old Anamul Haque for the second Test, starting April 28 (Monday). The right-handed batter last played Test cricket back in 2022 against the West Indies at Gros Islet, where he scored 23 and 4.
Since then, the right-hander has been in crazy form in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League 2025, where he scored 874 runs, averaging 79.45. Haque smashed four centuries and four half-centuries, which has earned him a recall in the setup.
Nahid Rana, too, has been replaced with uncapped left-arm spinner, Tanvir Islam. On the other hand, Zakir Hasan, too, has been dropped from the setup.
