Bangladesh Women Tour Of India Scheduled For December 2025 Postponed

Earlier, India’s men’s tour of Bangladesh has also been postponed from July 2025 to a later date, which was not specified.

After India’s men’s team tour of Bangladesh for white-ball engagements was called-off earlier in July this year, the Bangladesh women’s tour of India has had the same fate, with the white-ball series featuring ODIs and T20Is in similar volume having also been postponed.

On both accounts, it was the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that decided to call-off the tours, without giving a proper explanation. This tour has also been deferred like the Men’s tour.

Part of the Futures Tour Program (FTP) of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the tour was set to be the first for world champions India after their maiden ICC Trophy win, which they claimed by triumphing over South Africa in the Women’s World Cup final on November 2.

It was supposed to kick off the Women’s ODI Championship for both teams. The championship is a four-year cycle that determines direct qualification for the next World Cup.

The news was reported by ESPNcricinfo, citing the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s confirmation of the same. The series with three ODIs and equal number of T20Is, scheduled to be played in Kolkata and Cuttack, was supposed to work as buffer between World Cup and the Women's Premier League 2026.
