FANTASYNOTE: All stats updated till CPL 2021, Match 24
Barbados Royals (BR) will take on St Lucia Kings in Match 28 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) at Warner Park, St Kitts on Sunday (April 12). The Royals are in a bit of a downward spiral having lost five matches in a row and not so surprisingly, find themselves at the foot of the table having picked up just four points from eight matches. Kings, having won four out of their first six games, have lost their last two matches, but still, find themselves in with a good chance to make it to the playoffs.
In the CPL, the two teams have clashed on 16 occasions, with Barbados winning 10 of them. However, in the last five matches, it is the Kings who have a slender 3-2 advantage over the Royals.
CPL head-to-head

Ground details
Overall, the pacers have picked up 63% of the wickets at Warner Park in CPL his season, but in the last 10 matches, the wicket share has been even-steven, with the fast bowlers picking up a little over 50% of the wickets.
The spinners may have accounted for 49.6% of the wickets in this period, but they have significantly better runs per wicket (19) ratio compared to the pacers (24.5). However, when it comes to the balls per wicket ratio, the pacers fare marginally better having struck once every 17.1 deliveries, compared to the spinners who have picked up a wicket every 17.9 balls. Not much in it!
In the last 10 matches, the fast bowlers have conceded runs at an economy rate of 8.6, while the spinners have gone for just 6.4 an over. While runs per over matter very little in fantasy cricket, there is a yawning gap between the fast bowlers and spinners on this front.
Only once has the team chasing a target gone on to win in the last six matches. Hence, batting first and putting runs on the board seems to be the way to go.
Captain
With scores of 30, 40, 51*, 64* and 85, Roston Chase is an ideal candidate to lead your fantasy side just for his batting. He has also picked up four wickets in this period. Chase, who was named in West Indies T20 World Cup squad recently, is the leading run-getter this CPL season having scored 311 runs at a strike-rate of 153.20. With the ball, he has picked up eight wickets in as many wickets, picking up a wicket every 18.7 deliveries. Another good performance from the all-rounder in this match could see the Kings make it to the playoffs.
Our Criclytics Player predictor predicts Chase could score 19-29 runs and pick up 2-3 wickets in this match
X-Factors
With spin going to be a major factor, left-arm orthodox spinner Jeavor Royal could be a major factor in Kings turning the match against the Royals. He has picked up three wickets in three out of the last four innings and another such performance could boost the Kings’ chances of winning handsomely. Overall, the 22-year-old has picked up 11 wickets at 10.54 to go with a strike-rate of 9.8. He has conceded at just 6.44 an over, which is an added bonus.
Our Criclytics Player predictor predicts Royal could pick up 0-1 wickets in this match
Mohammad Amir has gone wicketless just once in six matches so far and has been at his miserly best conceding at just 5.80 runs an over. His nine wickets this season have come at an average of 13.11 and strike-rate of 13.5, which are excellent numbers. The Pakistan pacer will once again key in lifting Barbados off the bottom place.
Our Criclytics Player predictor predicts Amir could pick up 2-3 wickets in this match
Johnson Charles has got starts in the last few games but has failed to turn that into anything substantial. This match could be a great opportunity for the West Indies batsman, who has scored 170 runs from eight innings at a strike-rate of 122.30. He is yet to score a fifty this season and this could be a great occasion to break that duck.
Our Criclytics Player predictor predicts Charles could score 20-30 runs in this match
