On Sunday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced an increase in the prize money for domestic tournaments, with the champions of the Ranji Trophy set to earn INR 5 Crores from INR 2 Crores.Ā
In a social media post shared by Jay Shah announced the decision with the Senior Women's team's winning side earning INR 50 lakhs from INR 6 Lakhs.Ā
"I'm pleased to announce an increase in prize money for all Domestic Tournaments. We will continue our efforts to invest in Domestic Cricket ā which is the backbone of Indian Cricket. Ranji winners to get ā¹5 crores (from 2 cr), Sr Women winners ā¹50 lacs (from 6 lacs)," Shah said.Ā

Earlier in the week, the Board also announced the domestic schedule for 2023-2024, with the Deodhar Trophy returning after a span of three years.Ā
The season with kickstart with Duleep Trophy, the zonal red-ball tournament from June 28 to July 16, before the action shifts to Deodhar Trophy in the zonal format, with six zones competing from July 24 to August 3.Ā
