Ben Stokes hasn’t been at his best with the bat, but has been England’s best bowler by quite some distance in the ongoing five-match series against India.
Stokes registered figures of 5/72 in 24 overs in the first innings of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester - his fifth five-wicket haul and first in Test cricket in eight years.
Stokes first dismissed Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar before completing his five-fer with a wicket of debutant of Anshul Kamboj.
With 16 wickets at an average of 24.8 and a strike rate of 48.4, Stokes is currently the leading wicket-taker in the series.
