Virat Kohli has so far made seven centuries in his first-class career outside Test cricket. Interestingly, all these seven centuries have come before he made his maiden Test century – 116 against Australia in Adelaide in January 2012. This means that his first-class centuries 1 to 7 have come outside Test cricket, while centuries 8 to 34 have all come in Tests. His summary of centuries:  27 for India, six for Delhi and one for the Board President’s XI.

Jasprit Bumrah before the first Test in Chennai had played the most away Tests before playing his first one at home among Indian cricketers.
