Cameron Green Is BACK; All-Rounder Hits Century In His First Match Post Injury

Green posted an unbeaten 100 off 171 balls before retiring hurt due to cramps

It was the perfect return to cricket for Cameron Green post his back surgery as the Australia all-rounder hammered an unbeaten ton for Gloucestershire against Kent in what was his first game back in seven months.

A back injury in the September England tour ruled the 25-year-old out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India, the 2025 Champions Trophy and IPL 2025.

However, following a successful back surgery, Green revealed that he was targeting a return to Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against South Africa as a specialist batter.

He signed a five-game deal with Gloucestershire to prove his form and fitness and in his very first game of the County stint, the 25-year-old hit a superb ton under pressure.

With Kent opting to bowl, Green walked in at 41/3, with his side under significant pressure. However, showing no signs of rust whatsoever, the right-hander posted an unbeaten 100 off 171 balls before retiring hurt due to cramps. Green initially retiring hurt spooked many, but he later confirmed that he left the field due to cramps, and will be back batting again on the second day.

Green’s knock featured nine fours, and it helped Gloucestershire recover from 41/3 to 365/7.
