‘Class And Decency Aren’t His Strengths’: Kaneria Slams Pakistan Legend

Former Pakistan leg spinner Danish Kaneria slammed Pakistan’s legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi

Former Pakistan leg spinner Danish Kaneria backed Irfan Pathan’s scathing comments on Pakistan legend Shahid Afridi, with his post on X, on August 18 (Monday). Earlier this week, the Indian all-rounder, in an interview with Lallantop, labelled Afridi as a "badtameez aadmi."

“The childish behaviour was actually his. He was not my friend. After that, Afridi said some abusive words to me. His seat was right next to mine,” Pathan told Lallantop.

"I said, 'He [Afridi] has eaten dog meat, he has been barking for a long time" After that, Afridi couldn’t say anything. Whatever he might have said, I would have just said, 'Look, he is barking again," he added.

Kaneria, too, has now weighed in, stating that “class and decency” are not Afridi’s strengths.

“Irfan bhai, you’re absolutely right. He always resorts to personal attacks, be it on someone’s family or their religion. Class and decency clearly aren’t his strengths,” Kaneria wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Notably, Kaneria hasn’t had the best of relationships with Afridi during his playing days, as the two have always been at loggerheads. The leg-spinner also accused Afridi of attacking his religion (Hinduism) during his playing days with the Pakistan national team.
