CSK Legend Joins Alex Hales In Skipping The Hundred 2025

Ali has already retired from international cricket and is a frequent face in franchise cricket

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend Moeen Ali has decided that he will forgo The Hundred 2025 and play only in the T20 Blast 2025 for Warwickshire to make sure that he is able to play in other leagues. Ali has already retired from international cricket and is a frequent face in franchise cricket.

"This is a big decision for me and not one I've taken lightly. But I've reached a decision in the last few days, taking into account what I feel is best for me and my family at this stage in my career,” Moeen Ali was quoted as saying in a press release by Warwickshire.

"I came back to Warwickshire with the aim of trying to help them win the Blast and I still want to play a role this year. I'll be available to play throughout the Blast group games, and would love to be involved as a player-coach,” he added.

Ali will be joined by another former England cricketer, Alex Hales, who has also decided to skip The Hundred. He will also be playing the T20 Blast. He has signed a deal with the Knight Riders franchise in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Major League Cricket (MLC).

Ali led the Birmingham Phoenix in the first four seasons of The Hundred.
