Delhi Capitals (DC) co-owner Parth Jindal apologised to fans after Axar Patel and Co. failed to qualify for the playoffs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
“Sorry to all @DelhiCapitals fans – like you, I too am reeling from the second half of the season. What started so well ended extremely poorly,” he wrote on ‘X’.
“There are positives to take from this campaign but for now all focus on the next game which we need to win. Post the season there will need to be a lot of introspection on a lot of aspects.”
The Capitals started the season on an outstanding note, winning six of their first eight encounters. However, they have failed to win any game since then.
In their must-win game against Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 21 (Wednesday), DC were without their regular skipper Axar and ended up losing the match by 59 runs.
DC’s last game of the season is against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Jaipur on May 24.
