Discarded India Pacer Set For 10 Crore Move To Lucknow Super Giants

The fast bowler will move to his new team in an all-cash deal

Mohammed Shami, who has recently been frozen out of the Indian team, is heading towards an INR 10 crore trade deal that will see him go from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), according to a report on ESPNCricinfo.

It was understood that Delhi Capitals (DC) too had shown interest in the pacer, but LSG seem to have gotten the nod. Shami will go to LSG in an all-cash deal worth INR 10 crore, which is the same amount SRH bought him at the auction.

The agreement is said to be finalised between the two teams in principle, and will go ahead subject to Shami's approval. The teams are given until November 15, 3 PM to submit their final retention list.

Shami has been out of contention for the Indian team since the Champions Trophy earlier this year. He was not picked for the England Tests, the Asia Cup, the Australia tour and now the home Tests against South Africa, despite proving form and fitness in the Ranji Trophy.

Shami will be the second high-profile trade deal to have gone through in the last week or so. Previously, Sanju Samson moved to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) with Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran going the other way to Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Shami has picked up 133 wickets in 119 matches in the IPL since making his debut in 2013.
