Big Worry For India As Jasprit Bumrah Goes Wicketless In Intra-Squad Clash
Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Khan sizzled in the intra-squad clash with a 76-ball 101
Jasprit Bumrah’s off-day in Beckenham, on Saturday (June 14), might worry the selectors as the Indian speedster went wicketless in the intra-squad clash with figures of 0/36 in seven overs. Not just Bumrah, even Punjab Kings’ pacer Arshdeep Singh went wicketless in his audition for the first Test, with figures of 0/52, putting his place in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna was the pick of the bowlers, as the Karnataka speedster finished with figures of 2/41, while Siraj ended with figures of 2/86, including Ruturaj Gaikwad’s early wicket.
Sarfaraz Khan outshone all batters
While the bowlers had quite a mixed bag, Sarfaraz Khan turned up clutch on the day, with a sizzling 76-ball century against a strong Indian bowling contingent. The Mumbaikar, who worked extensively on the balls outside the off-stump, has already showcased his skills on the tour, with scores of 92 and now 101.
During his 101, the right-hander smashed 15 fours and two sixes, before being retired out. Barring Sarfaraz, Ishan Kishan was the other batter who had a good outing, unbeaten on 45. The Indian selectors would also be mighty pleased with Sai Sudharsan’s first outing in the intra-squad clash, with his 38 playing a huge role in stabilising the middle-order.
