India got off to a steady start in the first Test against England at Headingley, much to the hosts' frustration. They wanted to break the opening partnership quickly and, in a bid to do that, took a shocking review.
Josh Tongue, bowling around the wicket to Yashasvi Jaiswal, rapped the batter on the pads. There was a huge appeal, but the umpire remained unmoved. After a quick consultation with the bowler and the wicketkeeper, skipper Ben Stokes took a review.

The replays proved England wrong as the ball pitched outside the leg stump and further slid down. The 'keeper and the bowler perhaps thought that the ball hit Jaiswal's back leg first, which was indeed in line with the stumps. India were 36/0 going into the 13th over of the innings, with Jaiswal going well along with KL Rahul.
Luckily for England, they have two more reviews left and will hope to be better at them. Earlier, Stokes won the toss and put India into bat in Shubman Gill's first Test as captain.
