After recording a three-wicket win in a thrilling encounter at Headingley in Leeds last week, England have announced an unchanged squad for the fourth Test set to take place at Old Trafford in Manchester.
While the home team ensured the Ashes was well and truly alive after a nail-biting win, there were doubts surrounding the place of Jonny Bairstow in the playing XI.
The wicket-keeper endured a tough time behind the stumps in the series thus far, and there was a possibility of England bringing in Ben Foakes for the fourth Test.
Bairstow started the series with a run-a-ball 78 in the first Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham but was dismal in the Leeds as he scored 12 and five in the two innings.
However, Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum have continued to show faith in the Yorkshire player and will hope for fortunes to turn around in the fourth clash as they aim to draw level in the series.
James Anderson and Josh Tongue, who missed out on a place in the playing XI in the last game, are part of the 14-member squad. Apart from Foakes missing out, there are no surprises in the team as they build up for the fourth Test starting July 19.
England squad for the fourth Ashes Test:
Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jonathan Bairstow, Stuart Broad, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Dan Lawrence, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, Josh Tongue, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood
