Cameron Green is back and how, as the Australian all-rounder smashed his third century for Gloucestershire (118) against Northamptonshire, on May 25 (Sunday) at Wantage Road. The 25-year-old struck three sixes and eight fours on his way to a 185-ball 118, ahead of the crucial 2025 World Test Championship (WTC) final.
Before this encounter, Green had already scored two centuries for Gloucestershire, a 112 against Kent back in April and a 128 against the same opposition in May. The young all-rounder averages a staggering 73.67 in the ongoing county season and has accumulated 442 runs across eight innings, with three hundreds and a fifty.
Australia have already confirmed Green’s presence in their squad for the WTC final, and the all-rounder is set to be slotted in the middle-order. Rumours are afloat that Marnus Labuschagne could be promoted to the top of the order, where the selectors see value, as the right-hander has had decent numbers in England in the past.
Green will also be one of the biggest names at the IPL 2026 auction, with several teams - Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants - already keeping him in their plans after a disastrous IPL 2025 outing.
