25-year-old Digvesh has been one of the finds of the season with the ball in IPL 2025, but his theatrics have been even better than his bowling. He’s proven to be box office in every single game, unleashing his trademark ‘notebook’ celebration, giving send-off to batters.
But it became one celebration too many for Digvesh, who got suspended for tonight’s clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) after racking up as many as five demerit points. The fight with Abhishek Sharma in the SRH clash was the final straw.
LSG might have missed Digvesh on the field today, but he was spiritually there in Ahmedabad. Indeed, young Akash Singh dismissed Jos Buttler with a pearler in the 10th over of the chase, and then unleashed Digvesh’s trademark notebook celebration.
Akash bowled Buttler through the gate with a peach of an off-cutter, and then pointed towards someone in the dressing room (presumably Digvesh) and added Buttler to the ‘list’.
