5 moments that defined GT's first home loss of IPL 2024

Missed the first successful 200+ chase of IPL 2024? Look no further

Gill stamps his authority

After scores of 31, 8 and 36, Shubman Gill finally came good in Ahmedabad, slamming an unbeaten 89 off 48 to set the tone for Gujarat Titans (GT), who eventually managed to get to a formidable total of 199/4

Tewatia finishes off in style

The stage was set for Rahul Tewatia to do what he does best: smash the ball around at the death. He did just that to push GT. He finished the innings off with a couple of boundaries off Arshdeep Singh in his 8-ball 23 to push GT close to 200.

Noor starts PBKS’ slide

Noor Ahmad struck off his very first ball to get rid of Jonny Bairstow (22), and then a few deliveries later also dismissed Prabhsimran Singh (35) to bring GT back in the game. He barely faltered in line or length.

The match-changing partnership

At the start of the match, would you have ever guessed that Shashank Singh (61*) and Ashutosh Sharma (31) would take PBKS home in a chase of 200? Don’t pinch yourself, it actually happened. They put on 43 off just 22 deliveries for the seventh wicket to finish the job off.

Pressure gets to Mohit

Mohit Sharma has been on top of his game, especially at the death, winning numerous matches for GT in the IPL.

With 25 needed off 12, the pacer gave away 18 to effectively hand the match to PBKS.
