Ground details

Pacers have been dominant at Warner Park in CPL this year, who have picked up 127 of the 176 wickets to have picked up by the bowlers. Spinners, on the other hand, have accounted for just 49 scalps.

The spinners have been far more economical (6.5) than the pacers (8.3), however, the latter have picked up a wicket every 16.2 deliveries, 22.4 runs apart. The corresponding numbers for the spinners are 24.5 and 26.4 respectively, which further indicate that you should stock your team with fast bowlers.

If you do want to pick spinners, we suggest you go in for finger spinners as they have accounted for 38 wickets, compared to the wrist spinners, who have struck on 13 occasions.

Captain

Mohammad Hafeez has already played a couple of crucial knocks and with the ball, he chipped in with a spell of 3 for 18 against Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR). Hafeez has scored 137 runs from five innings at 34.25 in CPL 2021 so far and also has four wickets to his name. In T20s this year, Hafeez has scored 514 runs at a strike-rate close to 121 and with the ball, he has picked up 12 wickets from 17 innings at a strike-rate of 20.

Our Criclytics Player Projector predicts Hafeez could fetch 49-86 points in this match

X-Factors

Fast bowler Romario Shepherd has been on fire this season so far, picking up three wickets in each of the three matches he has played this season. He has got these wickets at an average of 6.66, strike-rate of 7.3 and economy rate of 5.45. He has been among the most consistent performers in CPL. Since 2020, he has picked up 15 wickets, picking up a wicket every 12 deliveries.

Our Criclytics Player Projector predicts Shepherd could fetch 59-89 points in this match

Mohammad Amir has been the pick of the bowlers for Barbados Tridents this season. In his four matches so far, Amir has picked up six wickets at 13.6 and has picked up a wicket every 14.3 deliveries this season. He has conceded at an economy rate of just 5.51. Only five more fast bowlers have picked up more wickets than Amir (56) in T20s since 2020 and has done so at a strike-rate of 22.1.

Our Criclytics Player Projector predicts Amir could fetch 31-59 points in this match

Glenn Phillips was in excellent form in The Hundred but has not been able to take CPL 2021 by storm. He scored an unbeaten 46-ball 56 to take Barbados home in the match against Jamaica, but other than that, he has not been able to convert his starts to anything substantial. Given how explosive Phillips is, a big innings does not seem to be very far away. In fact, no batsman has scored more runs than Phillips (443) in CPL since 2020, doing so at a healthy average of 34.08 and strike-rate of 121.4.

Our Criclytics Player Projector predicts Phillips could fetch 29-44 points in this match
