Healy regains No.1 spot among ODI batters after WC final heroics

Opener Alyssa Healy scored 170 in the 2022 World Cup final against England as Australia won their seventh title

Alyssa Healy on Tuesday moved to No. 1 spot among the latest ICC Women's ODI Batting Rankings following her stunning knock of 170 that helped Australia win their seventh ODI World Cup title by beating England in the final.

England's Natalie Sciver moved to the top of the ODI allrounders' standings following her fighting 148 not out in the final against Australia.

Among batters, Indian captain Mithali Raj was in the seventh spot while opener Smriti Mandhana gained a place to be ninth. Senior pacer Jhulan Goswami, at fifth, is the only Indian in the top-10 of bowling rankings and moved up a place to tenth among allrounders. Deepti Sharma is the other Indian among top-10 allrounders at seventh.

Australian players made big gains following the title win on Sunday as skipper Meg Lanning, Beth Mooney and Rachael Haynes made it to the top-10 among batters.

English spinner Sophie Ecclestone remained at No. 1 in the bowler rankings after finishing as the World Cup's top wicket-taker with 21 scalps. South African pacer Shabnim Ismail, who claimed 14 wickets, moved up to second after guiding her team to the semifinals of the tournament.

England's veteran pacer Anya Shrubsole gained five places to stand eighth among bowlers following her 3-46 in the final and 2-27 in the semifinal.
