Heinrich Klaasen Gets Into Record Books With Fastest Century For SRH

Heinrich Klaasen got into the record books with a magnificent century that came off just 37 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 25 (Sunday) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
This was the fastest century by a Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, beating the previous record held by Travis Head, who had scored a century in 39 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2024.
This was also the joint third-fastest century in the history of the IPL, behind Chris Gayle’s 30-ball ton and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 35-ball hundred.

While reaching the fastest ton by SRH players, which Klaasen did by picking a double at the end of the 19th over of the innings, he had also become the second fastest half centurion in SRH’s history, getting to that milestone in 17 balls.
In his knock of 109 off 39 balls, Klaasen hit seven fours and nine sixes.
