Renowned Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap said that he would not be able to make a biopic about legendary Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. The statement was made by Anurag during a podcast recently.
Famed for his epic two-part movie Gangs Wasseypur, Kashyap said that since Virat is already a known entity, it would be very difficult for him to bring out something that people are not aware of already.
“I don’t know if I would want to because he’s already a hero to many people, to many children. If I have to do a biopic, I would choose a difficult subject, a person’s life,” Indian Express quoted Kashyap as saying to Filmygyan.
“He is a very beautiful man. I know him personally, and he is a very authentic human being. He is very emotional; he is an incredible person,” Kashyap added.
Kohli, who retired from Tests and T20Is in 2024 and 2025 respectively, will be seen in action with Team India on their tour of Australia, which would commence in October this year. The team would play three ODIs, of which Kohli is likely to be a part of.
