Kohli’s batting average in Test cricket went past 50 in 2016. It stayed above 50 till February 2022 (barring a couple of occasions) before coming down to 49.95 after the series against Sri Lanka in March 2022. It didn’t go past 50 thereafter as his average eventually dropped down to 46.85.
