Left-arm spinner M Siddharth got the big scalp of Virat Kohli on April 2 (Tuesday) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru to help restrict Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to 153. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) eventually went on to win the match by 28 runs with Siddharth finishing with 1 for 21 in his three overs.
The 25-year-old from Tamil Nadu revealed that it was his dream to get the wicket of Kohli. "I have always dreamt of taking his wicket. You can ask anyone in the world, he'll tell Kohli is the biggest wicket you can take. So, really happy," Siddharth said in the post-match press conference.
Siddharth also revealed that his approach is very simple. “I backed my strengths and knew that if I kept the correct length, I knew I could do well for the team," he said.
During the team's interaction in the dressing room, LSG head coach Justin Langer revealed he had asked Siddharth if he could get Kohli out seeing how well he bowled the arm-ball.
