New Zealand have created a new record in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final against South Africa at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The New Zealand spinners have contributed seven wickets in the match, which is the most for them at an ICC ODI event. They beat the record they set against Ireland in the 2007 World Cup against Ireland at Providence.

New Zealand the spin options of Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell, Rachin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips at their disposal. Chasing 363, Temba Bavuma (56) and Rassie van der Dussen (69) scored fifties before the spinners weaved their magic.
New Zealand were outstanding with the bat as well, with Ravindra (108) and Kane Williamson (102) scoring vital centuries. They also put on 164 for the second wicket - the highest for the Black Caps in the Champions Trophy.
The winner of this match will play India in the Champions Trophy final in Dubai on March 9 (Sunday).
