There is no doubt as to why India are the favourites. In the last 15 years, the two teams have played against each other in 12 ODIs and India have won on eight occasions.
Shubman Gill has been in the form of his life in ODIs. With a century in his maiden Champions Trophy match, he has already shown that he is one of, if not the best batter in the tournament.
Mohammed Shami picked a five-wicket haul and became India’s most successful bowler in ICC events during the last match against Bangladesh. Therefore, he is undoubtedly the best bowler.
The Dubai International Stadium will be hosting its second game of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The venue has hosted 59 ODI games in its lifetime. It's usually the teams batting second that have won in Dubai and therefore captains winning the toss choose to bowl first. In the last game also India won by batting second.
The pitch would most likely be slow and assist spinners. But dew at night will favour the team batting second as spinners will not be able to grip the ball well.
There are one to two percent chances of rain in Dubai on February 23 (Sunday). The dew will play a major role as the temperature during the game will drop from 31 degrees Celsius at the start at around 1 pm local time to 26 degrees Celsius by the time it ends at around 10 pm local time.
