Follow UsIndia lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after a gap of 10 years, thus starting the New Year on a disappointing note. The ongoing year is going to be massive for the side, with many opportunities to make amends, like the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 starting in just over a month’s time. Meanwhile, the preparation will begin for the T20 World Cup at home in 2026.
With the Champions Trophy in February, it is only natural that India would prepare for the mega event with an ODI series. Hence, their first bilateral series would be a full-fledged limited-overs series against England at home, which includes five T20Is and as many ODIs.
The series will start with a T20I at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on January 22, 2025 (Wednesday), with the second and third T20I scheduled in Chennai and Rajkot, respectively. The caravan will then move to Pune and Mumbai to conclude the T20I leg of the tour.
The first of the three-match ODI series will be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on February 6, whereas the second and third ODI will be played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack (Feb 9) and Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad (Wednesday) respectively.
