Yuzvendra Chahal took four wickets as Punjab Kings (PBKS) defended the lowest total in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to move to the fourth position in the IPL 2025 points table.
However, even after his heroics, Chahal was unable to make the top five of the Purple Cap leaderboard this season.
Noor Ahmad of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) leads the chart with 12 wickets in seven games. He is followed by fellow teammate Khaleel Ahmed, who has 11 wickets in seven games. Hardik Pandya, skipper of the Mumbai Indians (MI), is in the fifth position.
Nicholas Pooran of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), who has been in terrific form throughout the first seven matches that his team has played, holds the Orange Cap with 357 runs at an average of 59.50.
Following Pooran in the race to become the highest scorer of the season are Sai Sudharsan of the Gujarat Titans, Mitchell Marsh of LSG, Shreyas Iyer of the PBKS and Virat Kohli of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
