The South African batter was eventually dismissed for 57 off just 23 deliveries, smashing five sixes and four fours in his innings.
Brevis, who came in as a replacement for the injured Gurjapneet Singh, has had an excellent season, having smashed over 200 runs at a strike rate of nearly 180.
Thanks to his innings, CSK finished on 235/5 in their 20 overs - their fourth-highest total in IPL history.
