Playing his 250th Indian Premier League (IPL) game, Ravindra Jadeja scripted history as he equalled Dwayne Bravo as the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament. With the wicket of Shashank Singh against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Jadeja picked up his 140th wicket for the franchise.
140 - Ravindra Jadeja
140 - Dwayne Bravo
95 - Ravichandran Ashwin
76 - Deepak Chahar
76 - Albie Morkel
Jadeja has been part of the CSK set-up since 2012. His best season with the ball for them came in 2023, when he picked up 20 wickets as CSK claimed their fifth IPL title. However, he has been poor with the ball in the next two seasons: He finished with eight wickets at 46.1 in 2024, and in the ongoing season, he has seven wickets at 31.4 so far.
Jadeja is also the only player in the IPL to have scored over 3,000 runs and pick up 150 wickets.
