After getting unsold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction, former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has failed to find any takers in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 draft. However, David Warner, who also went unsold in the IPL 2025 auction, has been picked by Karachi Kings.
Warner, who was one of the 44 players in the Platinum draft, has been in superb form in the ongoing Big Bash League. The left-handed opener is currently the leading run-scorer in the competition, slamming 316 runs across seven innings at an average of 63.20 and a strike rate of 142.34.
Meanwhile, Williamson is currently playing in the SA20 2025. The right-handed batter is playing for Durban's Super Giants and has started the season with an unbeaten score of 60 off 40 deliveries.
Apart from Warner, Daryl Mitchell (Lahore Qalandars), Mark Chapman (Quetta Gladiators), Michael Bracewell (Multan Sultans), Adam Milne (Karachi Kings), Finn Allen (Quetta Gladiators), Jason Holder (Islamabad United) and Aamer Jamal (Karachi Kings) are some of the other stars who got picked in the draft.
