Chris Gayle at Sharjah made 53 in 45 balls against RCB thus making him the second oldest at 41y-24d to make an IPL score of 50 or more. The oldest is still Australian Adam Gilchrist, who while playing for the same team KXIP in 2013 made 85 not out also against the same opponents at Bangalore then at the age of 41y-181d.
